In a healthy, working Green Cone, the food waste will be covered in a blue/gray fur, this is simply the bacteria doing its work and is nothing to worry about. The Green Cone comes with an accelerator powder which you simply add a handful of if you notice the furr disappear. It is also recommended to use the accellerator for the first couple of weeks after setting up the Green Cone just to encourage the friendly, helpful, bacteria to multiply.
